RealChange Projects in Armenia

RealChange's focus in Armenia is on grassroots, empowering, ethical and holistic projects aimed at bringing about lasting social change.

RealChange does not work alone, but works in partnership with existing, like-minded organizations to achieve these ends. See the links page for information about some of these organizations.

Current and proposed projects include:

• A scholarship fund for university students in Armenia
• Providing support and advice for the work of Mission Armenia, a non-government organization in Armenia that provides home care for the elderly and support for refugees and the disabled
• Responding to financial and other requests from individuals and non-government organizations in Armenia, by connecting them with sources of assistance
• A research project into social change in Armenia
• A 'fair trade' scheme for Armenian artefacts and works of art

At the core of the work of RealChange in Armenia is the course, Social Change, Justice and Community Mobilisation, which will be offered at Yerevan's Polytechnic Institute from September 2001.
